Microfinance services alone cannot boost the living standards of small farmers. That is why Small Farmers Agriculture Cooperatives Ltd. (SFACLs) have conducted many programs for the overall development of small farmers by using their own resources, as well as with financial assistance from the government. Programs include:
Mass Orientation
Social programs on education
Health
Drinking water
Environmental conservation
Maternal and infant welfare
Construction of bridges
Roads, schools and community buildings
Irrigation facilities
Reforestation
Technology Transfer
These programs are implemented with the voluntary labour of farmers and the financial resources of SFACLs. Two-thirds (~67%) of community development program Cost management by SFACLs and small farmer communities , while one-third (~33%) is provided SKBBL and externally. As of July 2020, approximately 1.5 millions households benefited from 2591 community development activities.
